Our first project, to identify and explore the self and to re-interpret it into a piece of artwork using abstracted ideas and translations. 

 

In the process of turning the idea of abstract translations in my head, I encountered an onslaught of words and images. But the task was to interpret them using an abstract form, which words are definitely not. So eventually I decided to play with a literal form of abstraction, typography. Final creative decision was to use these words to form my self portrait, an abstract form with literal translation.
